This is a pocket guide to the birds of Britain and Northwest Europe. The 380 species are fully described, including all breeding species and all regular and scarce migrants. The text highlights the key features and information required to make quick and safe identifications. A plate is devoted to each species (in most cases) and all plumages regularly seen in the region are depicted. Similar species are compared to scale on double-page spreads. This should make the book useful to all birdwatchers, however experienced.
