The field of computer graphics is evolving rapidly. The techniques of two-dimensional graphics appear today in bit-map displays, electronic CAD and printing. Three-dimensional graphics are finding application in the visualization of scientific data, the design of mechanical parts, and the simulation of virtual worlds. The aim of this guide is to provide practical implementation advice on such state-of-the-art methods and techniques to programmers, developers and designers who are either building graphics/visualization systems or wish to include such graphic elements in their work.
