With daily collective worship now compulsory in schools, this book is a source of short readings for today's assemblies. Many of the readings are in the form of anecdotes or "thoughts for the day" with either a moral or an obvious discussion point. To help in assembly planning, each passage comes with a succinct introduction outlining its purpose. While raising broadly Christian and moral issues in line with the Education Reform Act, the readings also reflect the diversity of religious experience around the world.
