"History in Depth" is a series providing coverage of major topics in the history curriculum and many of the titles are suitable material for GCSE preparation. The series adopts an evidence-based approach using visual and written evidence in the form of contemporary illustrations and documentary extracts. Skills-oriented questions then encourage pupils to analyze this historical evidence. In this volume, the development of the trade unions from 1832-1914 is discussed.
