The principal aim of this book is to give newcomers to the teaching profession some basic notions and precepts about class management, but also to allow experienced teachers to examine their own practice and improve it. The ideas in the units are in part based on the author's own research into classroom management and that of others, and the activities have been tried out and evaluated over several years.
