This book is part of the Cambridge History Programme which is designed to meet the history requirements of the National Curriculum. Each book in the programme features enquiry-based units which pose key historical questions; a balance of explanation and investigation; overview and review sections to introduce and consolidate themes and concepts; a wide range of primary sources, explanatory diagrams and maps; activities ranging in difficulty which enable pupils to meet attainment targets; and an attainment matrix for teachers and pupils.

The Cambridge History Programme is an investigative course which provides a coherent and progressive programme of history for the national curriculum. The teacher's resource book accompanies the pupil's book Medieval Britain, and includes: rationale, teaching objectives and practical ideas for each unit; guidance on teacher assessment; attainment target focus for each activity in the pupil's book; and photocopiable resource sheets with lively ideas for the classroom.
