Focusing on the period from the Reformation to the Napoleonic era, this is the second of three books which cover all five core and seven optional History Study Units of the National Curriculum. The series has been designed to be as flexible as possible. Each book can be used by pupils working on their own, in small groups or as a complete class, and provides an opportunity to cross-refer - to compare, for instance, the Roman and Islamic Empires, or to set the study of castles and cathedrals firmly within the context of the Middle Ages and the work pupils do on medieval realms.
