One of a series that introduces countries to young researchers. Each country is considered in terms of its location, weather, shelter, food, landmarks, transport, schools, clothing, recreations, celebrations and culture. The books use simple text and photographs to present first reference facts. Every spread builds on information presented in the previous one. Simple maps help young reaters locate each country's place in the world and to identify places and geographical features mentioned in the text. In addition, the books should support many of the points needed for the NC's geographical enquiry, skill and knowledge, understanding of places, and patterns and processes.
