Among the tribes featured are the Cherokee, Seminole, Cree and Choctaw. The book details the roots (tribal family trees and tribal languages), clothing, shelter, hunting, first contact with the whites, tribal wars, folklore and myths, religion and religious ceremonies of the tribes.
