This BSRIA "Application Guide" provides information on the application and performance of air curtain devices, and presents the results of a two-year research programme. It details performance characteristics of air curtains in commercial applications, and considers the effects of building leakage, doorway dimensions, the device supply and return sizes. The guide documents the results of a study (BSRIA Project Report 77710/1(1)) which combined site investigation, physical measurements and numerical modelling techniques. It also includes outline design data for downward discharge air curtains.
