A volume in the "For Real" series which forms the reading element of the Lothian project. The series seeks to present a variety of authentic materials, not in isolation but within a narrative context. The pupil sets off on holiday, negotiates the customs requirements, deciphers a train timetable and settles a restaurant bill within the most realistic of settings. Instead of answering straight comprehension questions, the pupil is encountering a range of problem-solving situations and surviving a route through holidays, school exchange visits and jobs abroad.
