This text is designed for teachers with no previous experience of using information technology to teach maths. The first part of the book aims to give teachers confidence in using IT, explaining calculators, databases, spreadsheets, logo and graphics in simple terms. Part two gives suggestions for applying IT to maths teaching. There are activities for pupils to do and advice is given on managing the classroom to ensure effective use of equipment. It contains case studies of successful outcomes and covers requirements for the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1 and 2.
