Oracle/Sql

by Tim Martyn and Tim Hartley

Published 1 December 1991
This volume explains both the basic and the advanced methods for writing correct SQL statements for the ORACLE database management system. The authors use detailed examples and a graduated-step approach in their coverage of the SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE command statements. Other statements in the language, such as CREATE TABLE and CREATE VIEW are also described to encourage insight into the rules and behaviour that govern these and other SQL data manipulation statements. The SQL syntax is explained in terms of the (often complex) underlying logical issues. The writers have also co-authored "A Professional Programmer's Guide".
