We spend one third of our lives asleep and much of that time dreaming. This is a book all about dreams: not only how to interpret them but also about their biology. It answers questions such as why do we dream; what happens if we don't or can't; and why do animals dream? After demonstrating their importance biologicallly the author then goes on to show the importance of dreams to individuals. He investigates the different way dreams are interpreted by the various therapeutic schools as well as going into great detail about Jungian dream interpretation while concluding that we can learn from all of them.
