Book 1
This is the first in a new series of highly illustrated books for the model maker. Basic Aviation Modelling is an excellent introduction to the art of making model aeroplanes from kits. High definition pictures take the reader through all the stages of making a variety of kits. The emphasis throughout is to make the tasks understandable in a step-by-step format. Working with readily available kits from Tamiya, Verlinden and Revell, the less experienced modeller is shown the do's and don'ts of modelling techniques with particular emphasis on the common difficulties that the inexperienced modeller might face. This series will build into a library of practical information for the modeller.
Book 2
This is the second in the new Modelling Manual series which sets out to help the more experienced modeller to improve techniques and expand their modelling horizons. Working with models like the MIG27 Fulcrum, the A-10, and the WW1 Roland Walfisch the reader is shown how with patience and care these and other models can be superdetailed to a very high standard. Very detailed colour photographs and a concise but explanatory text show the modeller how to turn a basic kit model into a show-stopper.
Book 8
Probably the greatest test of the modeller is achieving the perfectly posed figure. This title explains how best to set up the figure, and goes on to deal with the niceties of painting, facial expressions, clothing etc. With no detail unexplored, everything is clearly explained with step by step photos.
For the more experienced vehicle modeller this book takes the reader to a level of proficiency that some people only dream of. Step by step colour photographs and clear, precise language show scratchbuilding and superdetailing techniques which make gold award winners. Vehicles covered include 1/35 Hummel, SDKFZ Self propelled gun, Panther engine, Grant medium tank, DUKW Amphibious vehicle.
