This series of blackline master packs, with "Teacher's Notes", has been designed to encourage students of GCSE Religious Education to undertake research on questions within a variety of topics covered by the exam syllabuses. A number of different resources have been used, including diagrams, quotations and drawings, with the aim of increasing the students' level of understanding of the topics under consideration. Each pack concentrates on five specific areas of understanding religion: ways of expressing religion; authority; beliefs and practices; ethics and meaning in life. A chart is provided to help teachers to choose different sheets and questions which concentrate on each of these areas. Also provided in the teacher's notes are answers with a flexible mark-scheme for easy marking.

Structured questions relate to the five specific areas of ways of expressing religion, authority, beliefs and practices, ethics, and meaning in life. The teacher's material contains a mark-scheme and answers to the questions set in the photocopiable blackline master. The pack may be used alongside a variety of resource material on Islam.
