The UK construction industry spends around #1billion each year on rectifying defects and failures, some of which may be preventable through improved feedback to designers on the success and failures of installed plant and systems. The Egan report recognises the need for learning from experience and the need to feed this back into the project process and to inform future projects. This book provides an overview of feedback within the building process and a detailed review of the use of feedback by design organizations. It offers recommendations for suitable feedback processes and systems to be used in design and provides specific action plans for implementation for key feedback approaches.
