Network applications support (NAS) is both a comprehensive architecture and set of software products designed to provide a framework that makes it possible for applications developers to enhance those characteristics of computing applications that promote interoperability, application distributility and application portability among applications that run of Digital's computing platforms, as well those from other vendors, such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard, SunMicrosystems and Apple.
