This publication is part of a series which seeks to raise awareness amongst policymakers and agricultural support services in low and middle income countries about sustainable income generation opportunities for small-scale farmers and local communities. It focuses on examples of how beekeeping activities can be used to help promote sustainable livelihoods at the small farm and community level, providing food and income for a family, as well as products for sale such as honey and beeswax, and other value-added products.
