Fey Touched: Season One

by Nicola Claire

Published 23 January 2020

To survive, she must become one of them. To thrive, she must become the best.

The walls of Dökkálfa have ears.

They have ears and they whisper. And what they have to say can be chilling, but not all fairies hear them. Only those blessed by the Old Gods.

And the one they call Skilja. Separate.

Kara Middleton wasn’t always a fairy. Heck, even now, she couldn’t be called completely Fey. Because the Queen of Ljósálfar made her what she is and what she is…is frightening.

A monster.

But there is one fairy who is not afraid of Kara and the devastating power she wields as if her very own. For he, too, hears the whispers of the castle walls.

And what they tell him is intriguing.

But everyone knows, you should never catch the eye of a fairy.

Especially if the fairy is the Dökkálfa King.

FEY TOUCHED: SEASON ONE was originally published on Patreon as an episodic series. This much sought after tale in the KINDRED UNIVERSE is now available for anyone to read in book format. A full-length novel of approximately 65,000 words, this is the first of many seasons in this new spin-off series to the much-loved KINDRED/MIXED BLESSING MYSTERY WORLDS.

Published 24 January 2021

To survive, she must become one of them. To thrive, she must become the best.

Something is rotten in the realm of Dökkálfa. And it has nothing to do with their newest fairy.

But try as she might, Kara Middleton - former human and current member of the Dark Fey - can't find the root of the foul magic that is consuming her adopted homeland.

That's the trickery of magic, though; it can hide its face so very well.

Evil stalks the Dökkálfa, but can Kara uncover its secrets in time to save the one fairy she loves the most? Or will the spell cause unimaginable damage to her, to Aliath, and to all of Faerie?

It's hard being different, but maybe Kara's difference is what will save them all.

At the very least, she'll go down fighting ... and kicking ... and screaming ... and ... tearing her hair out.

Fey Touched: Season Three

by Nicola Claire

Published 12 September 2021

To survive, she must become one of them. To thrive, she must become the best.

Games are afoot in the High Court Realm of Dökkálfa. The type of games a girl from Earth can get soundly beaten playing. Fairies, though, don't play fair at all, it seems.

But Kara Middleton, former human, now something else entirely not even the Dark Fey are in agreement about, has learned a thing or two since she was stolen from her world and brought to Faerie.

  1. Ask no questions.
  2. Tell no lies.
  3. Give no thanks.
  4. Never trust a fairy.

Rules to live by. Rules Dökkálfa's Champion has taken to heart. Rules that allow her to live amongst, and stand up to, the power-hungry magic-wielding fairies of Dökkálfa.

Just as well, because Kara is going to need some rules in the games the Upper Court are playing.  And Dökkálfa is going to need Kara.

Because the Ljósálfar are coming and they play by nobody's rules, not even their own.

Fey Touched: Season Four

May the Goddess guide you. And may the Champion protect you.

Kara Middleton didn't ask to become a fairy. She didn't ask to be made the Dark Fey's Champion, either. And she certainly didn't ask to be a general in a fairy war.

But sometimes life throws curve balls at you.

The Light Fey are coming and their Queen has her mad gaze set on Kara. The lower castes of the Dark Fey Court are rebelling and Kara's maids are in the thick of the revolt. And then there's her lover, Aliath, King of Dökkálfa.

He wants Kara. He wants her to be his mate and queen. He wants it all.

But can Kara give in to her heart and be everything Aliath wants of her? Or will she have to fight to the death for the freedom of Dökkálfa? Faerie is her home now. The Dark Dance, her way of life. It's time for Kara to embrace what she has become and fight for what is hers.

The final battle is upon them. And so it must end now. But who will history say is the winner?

Dökkálfa or Ljósálfar?
