100 Maths Homework Activities is a series of six photocopiable teachers' resource books designed as a 'spin-off' from the '100 Maths Lessons' series. Each book focuses on the '100 lessons' to provide follow-up or supporting homework activities, together with teachers' notes advising on: the objectives of the work, the classroom lesson context to which it is appropriate (for teachers using the book as a stand-alone resource), setting the homework and what to do with it when the children bring it back, including marking if necessary. The activities cover the range of homework types suggested by the NNS and address all the strands of the 'Framework for Teaching Mathematics':Number and the number system Calculations, Problem-solving,Handling data and Shape, Space and Measures. In terms of parental support, each photocopiable page includes a note to the parent about the purpose of the activity and how to help the child if he/she gets stuck. The introduction discusses establishing dialogue with parents. Taking into account the age of the children for whom these activiities are intended, this book contains only 'maths to share' and 'games and puzzles' type activities.
