This book describes a range of techniques for analyzing rail passenger demand, all of which have been used in the extensive research programme on this subject conducted at the ITS. The emphasis is on practical application, with results of actual studies used to illustrate all the techniues in question. It reports on many recent studies, including topics such as new stations and services, demographic change and commuting.
