The Numeracy Progress Tests provide a coherent series of standardised group tests for ages 5 to 12. The STAGE ONE specimen set includes one copy each of the Numeracy Baseline and Tests 1 and 2 (for Years 1 and 2), and the Stage One Teacher's Manual.

The Numeracy Progress Tests can be used separately with selected year groups, but are most informative when used annually to provide an ongoing measure of attainment and progression. For all the tests, norms are given as standardized scores and numeracy age equivalents.
