Published 20 October 1994
This addition to the "Bright Ideas" series is full of ideas for starting the year, week, day and for filling those inevitable extra moments with fun, stimulating and, most importantly, purposeful activity. The activities require minimal preparation and fill a gap of time from two to 30 minutes. There are ideas for individuals, small group and whole-class activities that can support, reinforce and introduce work in all areas of the curriculum, particularly English and maths. Many can be extended, adapted and varied so that they can be used over and over again.
