The "Fact Finders" series is the non-fiction component of Oxford's infant reading scheme, "Oxford Reading Tree". The "Fact Finders" introduce non-fiction books to children, and focus on developing the information retrieval and handling skills they need to use them effectively. The series encompasses a whole range of genres, illustration styles, and subject focuses. The first 18 titles are grouped into three topic units: "Myself", "Families", and "Houses and homes". The Big Books are large format, but otherwise identical to the pupils' books. Previously only available in packs of six titles (ISBN 0-19-916674-9), they are now available individually.

Its contents include background to the series, teaching strategies, notes on managing the series, ideas and exercises. There is also a range of photocopiable resources and activities.
