Aya and her twin brother Aki thought they were going to a celebration of their sixteenth birthday at their grandfather's home, but the funeral-like atmosphere tips them off that something's not right. Their 'birthday present' turns out to be a mummified hand - the power of which forces an awakening within Aya, and painful wounds all over Aki's body. Grandfather Mikage announces that Aki will be heir to the Mikage fortune, and Aya must die! But Aya has allies in the athletic cook and martial artist Yûhi, and the attractive, mysterious Tôya. But can even two handsome and resourceful guys save Aya when it's her own power that's out of control?

Yûhi, a relatively popular guy at his school, has his life interrupted by the ominous premonition of his beautiful sister-in-law, Suzumi. She sends him to rescue spunky Aya Mikage, who is under a death sentence by her own family! Suzumi relegates Yûhi to protect the high-spirited coed, but he doesn't know that two personalities dwell within Aya's body - herself and the legendary celestial maiden, Ceres. Yûhi complains about Aya all the time, but gets jealous when the handsome mystery man Tôya is around. Could it be that he actually has feelings for Aya?

Book 3

Suzumi, a prim and proper instructor of traditional Japanese dance, has a demure exterior but a confident, strong interior. She's also a descendent of a tennyo(celestial maiden). Her powers are nowhere near as powerful as Ceres' but Suzumi senses Aya is a kindred spirit and proves to be one of her most valuable allies. Suzumi takes Aya into her home, unwittingly putting herself in just as much danger as Aya!

Celebrities say all kinds of outrageous things, don't they? But when Shuro - one half of Japan's hottest pop duo, GeSang - says on national television that not only is he the descendant of a ten'nyocelestial maiden, but that his family also still has in its possession the ten'nyo'scelestial robe or hagoromo, Aya and the others spring into action! There's more waiting for them in Okinawa than sold-out concerts and sightseeing, though. Shuro's claims of celestial heritage may be more than just PR spin. Kei (the other half of GeSang) may feel more for his partner than friendship. And Kagami, still plotting away at his nefarious "C-Project", may be closer to achieving his goals than anyone thinks...

Hell hath no fury...or, in this case, Heaven, as it's a celestial maiden or "ten'nyo"who's unleashing it! The search for Ceres' hagoromoor "celestial robes" brings the action back to Tokyo - to Miyagi, specifically, where rumours of a spectral white dog ("figuring in the celestial legend!," says Suzumi) prompt a transfer to girls-only high school for Aya, Chidori, and...Yûhi?! Connected to the dog's increasingly frequent attacks is a sweet and popular girl named Maya Hirobe, but why - and more importantly, how - is she involved? Is it possible that Maya is a C-Genome...and doesn't even know it?

No more deception, no more lies - now that Aya and Tôya have finally let down all their barriers and come together, that is. But will something else - something outside their love - tear them apart? Miori Sahara seems a nice enough girl - goes to Aya's school, has a lot in common with Aya...looksa lot like Aya, actually. She says she's searching for her missing boyfriend, who's been gone a year now. After an accident robs Tôya of his memories, will Aya turn to Yûhi once Tôya goes back to his "real" girlfriend, Miori? A love like Aya and Tôya's is supposed to last forever...has everything that's happened between the two of them this past year been a lieafter all?
