After experiencing a crisis of faith, Father Olivier of the Valaria Order decides to go to G and find out the truth behind the legends. Olivier's journey is unsanctioned, and the head of the Order engages the dark elf Suzu to stop him. As he begins his quest, Olivier encounters Ouri, a young girl from the south who cannot speak. But Ouri reveals another side of herself when Suzu catches up to them!

Olivier, priest of the Vasariah Order, is not his usual self, and Ouri summons an incubus to draw out the seed of Olivier's black mood. Later, the "game" between Ouri and her siblings becomes clearer as they all make their way toward G and the great treasure that awaits the winner. Ouri, however, is playing with a few interesting handicaps--but that won't slow down their progress toward G, even if Ouri and Olivier's enemies aren't about to give them a break!

How did this terrible fate befall Olivier, and what effect will his protective measures have on both him and his companions? Is the secret history of Gestalt somehow mirrored in the present? Time will tell, but not before Ouri gets another chance to mop the floor with some persistent enemies!

Olivier continues his slow and roundabout trek to G, accompanied by Suzu and Sakata. Along the way they meet an old man who offers to aid Olivier in exchange for tutoring his granddaughter Roxanne. The girl turns out to be much more than she seems, with hidden powers and a history with Ouri as well. With all the various plots starting to come together, Olivier and his friends head back to Salsaroa for some answers--but the real game is just beginning!
