At a time when the citizens of Slovakia struggle to define their new identity, including the sizeable and articulate Hungarian minority, the idea of a "return to Europe" exerts a powerful pull. The author presents the current state of Slovakian policies and focuses on interstate relations between Hungary and Slovakia, and each country's potential chance of integration into the European Union.
