Fairy Lullabies

by Alan Parry

Published 4 February 2021
Hidden within our very own world, lies a secret, magical land. It is the ancient land of fairies, known as Fairyland. Many different types of fairies live there and the Fairy Queen, who watches over them, loves them all. But not many of us ordinary folk have discovered this mysterious place. Yet sometimes, when we are feeling particularly unhappy, the fairies, by way of helping us to feel better, will allow us to step into that wonderful world. And we can be sure that if we do enter Fairyland, nothing will be quite the same for us ever again.

Nothing quite like this has appeared since Cicely Mary Barker's Flower Fairies of 20 years ago. Featuring prayers, meditations and stories, Alan and Linda Parry blend traditional and modern to create a new idiom for children and parents today. Featuring the sweet and mischievous elves, the pixies in their green dress and bright hats, the goblins who live in hollows of old trees, the helpful but naughty brownies, the kindly gnomes and the Fairy King and Queen who order and bless the Fairy world. Ideal for ages 3-7, for bedtimes and all occasions.
