Equiano travelled widely and settled in England, where the infamous Zong case led him to join the campaign against the slave trade. Describing his role, this book contains information about other aspects of the campaign, such as the activities of Wilberforce and Clarkson. It gives an account of the experiences of Equiano and other African victims.
