This pupil's book contains the elements for a balanced English curriculum. The scope of individual units ranges from poetry to media studies, drama to knowledge about language and imaginative writing to oral storytelling. Many pieces of original writing, specially commissioned from established writers, have been included. Each unit provides opportunities for extending skills in each of the areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening.
