Look afresh at the Beatitudes and explore Jesus' unconditional grace
The eight Beatitudes, or blessings, are not just an introduction to Jesus' groundbreaking Sermon on the Mount. They are among His best known but perhaps least understood words. Jesus speaks to the needy, the sad, the powerless, the cheated, the carers, the purists, the blamed, and indeed to all of us. His words remain as relevant today as when they were first given.

An exploration into what it means to live in the divine plan for human sexuality
The Song of Songs - a Hebraic way of saying 'best song of all' - is a collection of erotic love poems between a wife and her husband, and is an unapologetic celebration of intimacy within the context of Christian marriage. In his reading of the poem, John Houghton explains how, whether married or single, this book of the Bible gives us something truly awesome to celebrate and proclaim.

Christ's call to the Church
In His letters to the seven churches of Asia, Christ reveals His will for His people at all times and in all places. The book of Revelation is from Jesus and about Jesus. John Houghton shows us how, amidst the dramatic symbolism and powerful imagery, Jesus is encouraging His people in their walk with God. Our hearts will be strengthened as we take His words to churches on board. Like John the apostle when he received the revelation, we will understand the urgency to repent where necessary. We will also catch a glimpse of Jesus, the one who loves us and has liberated us from the power of sin, in all His transcendent glory.

Discover why Jesus has written a prescription for our lives
Luke, a Greek doctor and man of learning, records in his Gospel a detailed historical account of Jesus; but he does not consign Jesus to the pages of history. Instead, he shows us how Jesus provides a prescription for living in today's world, and for the future.

Isaiah 1-39: Prophet to the nations
Isaiah is the Messianic prophet above all others. He speaks of not only the first coming of Christ, but the second coming also - he is a prophet for us today! This Bible study looks at some of the main themes in the first half of the book of Isaiah, enabling individuals and groups to grasp an overall picture of this passage of Scripture, as well as grapple with key biblical concepts held within it, including holiness, atonement, salvation and evangelism.

HEBREWS: Jesus - simply the best.
The book of Hebrews is an invitation to deal with our uncertainties about faith in the best way possible - by looking to Jesus. Jesus is the eternal Son of God; brighter than angels; greater than Moses; He surpasses Aaron. Jesus has changed the course of history and launched a brand new era.
Jesus also introduces a new covenant, sealed in His own blood, dealing totally with sin and its consequences and bringing about a transformed life in those who believe.

Jeremiah: The passionate prophet
Jeremiah was a remarkable prophet of judgment and hope, ministering at a crucial point in world history. Divinely called as a youth, his ministry of nearly 50 years foretold and witnessed the destruction of Jerusalem and the deportation to Babylon.
Jeremiah analysed this as the judgment of God upon a nation that had abandoned its covenant with Yahweh for devotion to fertility gods.
Jeremiah anguished over his confrontational role and what he could so clearly see coming. Yet he also anticipated the restoration of God's people and foresaw the era of the new covenant and the coming of the Messiah.

Perhaps one of the most famous women of all time - whatever our denominational background we can celebrate Mary's life and learn from her joys and sorrows. Isaiah 40-66: Prophet of restoration
It looked like the end of nationhood for God's people as they faced a punishment they most surely deserved. But Isaiah saw beyond Judah's captivity by the Babylonians to a time of remarkable restoration. As part of this, they would rediscover God's purpose for them - to be His servant; a destiny that would in due course be enshrined in one Man, Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah and Savious of the world.
This Bible study helps us to understand Isaiah's powerful message: that God is a holy God who cannot ignore sin, but One who also displays amazing grace and mercy, and a longing to enjoy restored relationship with us.

Enjoy freedom from both legalism and lawlessness

Unpack the sometimes complex arguments of Paul, understand the logic of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone, and discover the truth that sets us free!
