This book is designed for anyone interested in learning to play chess and covers many aspects of the game from the moves and their history to great games of the world champions. Included in this book are sections on the rules of the game, basic tactics, opening play, computer chess, great players, methods of calculating variations and psychological factors in competitive play. The author is an International Master and former British Champion. He is the author of numerous chess books and is Chief Junior Trainer for the British Chess Federation.
