The first general textbook of the new experimental psychology to come out of the Wundtian laboratory tradition. Although generally in keeping with that tradition, Kulpe's analysis did include an influential critique of the concept of feeling in relation to the attributes of sensation that eventually led Wundt to revise his theory of feeling.
