Ten new episodes have been commissioned for 1999 and 10 for 2000. Set against the beautiful rugged landscape of Yorkshire Where the Heart Is follows the busy professional and family live of district nurses Peggy Snow and Ruth Goddard. They are very much the heart of the tight knit community of Skelthwait. This prime time drama series is an engaging story of life, love, family and people's ever-changing fortunes in the heart of England. The two principle characters are Pam Ferris (The Darling Buds of May/Matilda) and Sarah Lancashire (Coronation Street) Where the Heart Is book will revisit the series from episode one and chronicle lives of the characters and profile the actors and actresses in the series. All those involved in the series will be interviewed and the places where the series is filmed will be visited.This will be an official book with the full cooperation of the producers and the ITV network.
