Book 6
Marina's big moment - the first race of cross-country season at her
new school. Now a seventh grader, she's determined to beat the older kids
to the finish line. But, when her running dreams are dashed, her visions of
stardom go, poof! If she can't run two miles, how can she go to space
camp? No space camp, no future missions to Mars, right?
Her sister, Lucy, and the Geeky F@b
Five, now fifth graders at Earhart Elementary, are determined to cheer up
Marina. Could Marina help with Lucy's campaign to ban plastic straws at
school? Or maybe she could learn to computer code with Sofia? Zara could use a
backup singer in her treehouse studio, and AJ's idea to add rockets to
Marina's wheelchair has some potential. It's all so hard until
AJ's brother, Sam, teams up with the GF5 with an idea to send
Marina's dream for camp into orbit no matter what. Hop onboard with the
Geeky F@b Five to discover why shooting for the stars is a cosmic blast when you
have friends and along for the ride.
Join Lucy, the gang, Hubble the snarky kitty, and their TV reporter buddy, Suzy Pundergast, to find out if they can prove the meanies wrong because when girls stick together, anything is possible!
Big Problems.
A new girl has just
transferred into the GF5's class at Earhart Elementary along with her little
brother. Fiona is quiet and thin and a bit forgetful as she didn't bring her
lunch or snack to school. Lucy, Marina, Zara, A.J., and Sofia, The Geeky F@b 5,
befriend Fiona, who is particularly impressed with Sophia's tablet, Marina's
knowledge of space, and Lucy's fluffy kitty, Hubble. When Fiona gets called away
to the principal's office after school, the GF5 don't know why. When walking
home they discover she lives in a nearby motel, not a home. As they begin to
understand Fiona's story, the girls learn that she and other kids like her are
homeless and don't always have food. To help, the GF5 launch a citywide student
food drive among grade schools. That explodes into a fierce competition to see
which school collects the most food by weight. The winning school gets a big
bash with a DJ. Which school will win? Even Hubble, the snarky cat, must contend
with crosstown rival, the Madison Mackerel mascot, who hatches a diabolical plan
to sabotage Earhart. Join the fun as GF5 rallies students to fight for
Fiona.
Big Problems.
In their next adventure,
the Geeky Fab Five discover a hidden garden filled with Monarch butterflies and
honeybees. While the girls are learning in science class that Monarchs and bees
are becoming endangered, something threatens their secret butterfly garden
behind Earhart. To solve the mystery, Hubble the GFF mascot (and ever-so-curious
cat) discovers a secret that gets him catnapped! In a race against time, the
girls must rescue Hubble, save the garden, and solve the mystery of the missing
Monarchs.
