Sustainable Water

Part of a new series of practical handbooks aimed at providing practising engineers with an understanding of sustainability principles and solutions. To be useful for practitioners, the series sets sustainability concepts within well-known engineering management processes of planning, designing and delivering infrastructure. The first volume sets out a framework of fundamental principles, methodologies and approaches, with numerous practical examples from real civil engineering projects. The subsequent volumes apply these principles to sector-specific contexts, in this case water. Each book is written in such a way as to be readable independently of the set, but reference is made back to the guiding philosophy and structure set out in the introductory volume.
