The "electric jet" or "Viper" (as the F-16 is popularly known in the US Air Force) is generally regarded as the finest dogfighter in the world. But the F-16 is more than a MIG killer - time and again this aircraft has demonstrated its ground-attack capabilities, most recently in Operation Desert Storm against Iraq forces during the liberation of Kuwait at the beginning of 1991.
