After a couple of business failures, Paul Hagar becomes a drifter, but it looks like he's drifted into a golden opportunity. He files a claim on government land in Wyoming known as the Bloody Quarter. It puts Hagar at odds with a powerful and ruthless rancher and a gambling syndicate. They'll do anything to get their hands on the Bloody Quarter.
