High Stakes Saga
5 primary works
Book 1
Her name is Eve, and she was aptly named. The first female accepted into the Asset program, she was the first to rise to the top. She would also be the first woman to travel back in time, assigned with one target in mind: Enoch – one of the first vampires to walk the earth. Her mission was simple: Land, shove her stake through Enoch’s black heart, run to safety, and jump off something really high so she could warp back home and carve out the life she’s always wanted.
The only problem was that time travel was more complicated than anyone realized. She was supposed to travel back seven days, but instead, landed in the middle of England in the year 1348, during the time of the Black Plague.
Enoch never kept his true nature a secret. As a wealthy landowner, he protected and provided for the people under his care, and in exchange, they were more than willing to provide the scant amounts of blood he needed to survive. When a strange young woman showed up at his gate in the midst of the plague and then fell ill, he nursed her back to health.
He’d never met anyone like Eve. She was intelligent and witty, and the most beautiful creature he’d ever laid eyes upon. And, he learned, the most dangerous.
Book 2
They told her jumping would bring her home. Either they lied, or something is very wrong with Eve.
She jumped to save her friend. She jumped to prevent Enoch from becoming the monster she knew from the future. But she didn’t land there. She landed in 1777. In the middle of the ocean, no less. And for a girl who couldn’t swim? That was the worst place in the world.
After being saved by a pirate who calls himself Blackbeard, Eve desperately needed to find Enoch, but when she did, she learned that not making it home was the least of her worries. Victor did the unthinkable and used her to accomplish his cruel attack, and she isn’t sure if Enoch will ever forgive her – or if he should. Maybe the monster was never him. Maybe it’s been her all along.
Perfect for fans of The Hunger Games, dystopian novels, pirates, paranormal romance, science fiction fantasy and time travel stories!
Book 3
The war raging outside is almost as unforgiving and tragic as the battle Eve must fight within herself...
Eve thought landing in the year 1717, in a time of piracy and open sea battle was brutal, but 1777 was far worse. The American colonies may have declared their independence over a year ago, but the Redcoats stubbornly refused to accept defeat. The war continued to rage on, and the battles fought were as acrimonious as they were destructive. Unsurprisingly, Enoch and his siblings were in the thick of it all, siring vampire militias to bolster the Continentals in their quest for true freedom.
To Eve, it quickly became clear that there were more schemes in play off the battlefields than on them, and as usual, she managed to insert herself in the center of the drama. Trouble, she learned, was the one thing that targeted her regardless of time or place. Even though Eve was built for maximum destruction, trouble might be the one thing she couldn’t outrun – no matter how fast she was.
The High Stakes Saga is young adult series perfect for fans of time travel, romance, vampires and those who hunt them, science fiction, and dystopian novels like The Hunger Games! Action-packed, gut-wrenching and deliciously romantic.
Book 4
Historians weren’t being modest when they described the settling of the western frontier as wild. That means with Eve’s record of landing in the most inhospitable locales, of course she drops right in the middle of an unforgiving land, rife with conflict and fueled by desperation.
Though a treaty was signed between the Native Americans and the settlers who continued to pour into the west in droves, a tension lays over the land, as thick as the blood being spilt over it. But there are more than just gun fights and saloons scattered across the barren plains; there is an ancient source of magic known to its inhabitants that predicts a very disturbing image of Eve’s future.
Battling her thirst to return home against her desire to stay with the man she loves, she must fight to ensure that what was predicted never comes true, and safeguard against becoming the thing she hates the most…
Book 5
The world the Assets leapt through time to save was far from perfect, but even it was better than the one they find upon returning. All the humans outside the Compound have either been killed or turned. Those living inside are starving. Everything else lies in ruin. The future has changed. And so has Eve. Will she be strong enough to stop Victor and Kael before they destroy them all? Or will she become the monster foretold in the past, and singlehandedly usher in a new age of terror?
