Bolie Jackson, a washed-up boxer, is about to be knocked down and counted out. Suddenly he's amazed to find that he has swapped places and is now standing over his knocked-out opponent. Henry, a young neighbour with magical powers, just made the biggest, tallest wish he could come up with - for Bolie to win the match. But will Bolie accept this wish and be victorious?
A shadow passes overhead and a loud roar is heard, accompanied by a flash of light. Neighbours along Maple Street grow confused as they find that the telephones no longer work and there is no power. As the sun sets, they gather together in the street to discuss the matter. Only Tommy, a young boy, sees the situation for what it is - an alien invasion which disrupts his neighbourhood.
A plane leaves London bound for New York as scheduled. Not far into the journey, Flight 33 crosses through some sort of time warp that sends it back in time by 100 million years. As they fly over giant creatures which they recognise as dinosaurs on Manhattan Island, the pilots realise they must find a way back into the future.
State troopers investigate footprints leading from a mysterious crash site to a diner, where a group of passengers from a bus trip are waiting out a snowstorm. The only patrons of the roadside eatery are the bus passengers, but there is one more diner than there were people on the bus. Suspicion grows among the stranded travellers as they try to guess which one of them is from the alleged UFO. Who is the real Martian? The intergalactic twist provides the classic Twilight Zone surprise ending.
