In Play Foundations Where I Live, the theme is explored through five chapters focusing on different ways in which children discover `where I live', including activities related to home, people at home, things to do at home, neighbourhoods and homes in different settings to help them develop their understanding of the world around them.

Exploring Materials

In Play Foundations Exploring Materials, the theme is introduced through focusing on different ways children discover 'exploring materials', including activities related to looking at materials, feeling materials, using and testing materials and sand and water to help them develop understanding of media and materials in the world around them.
