McNihil's world is a dark one, not for the unwary or easily disturbed. There are cases he would really rather not get involved with. Particularly when the corporation are overly interested in the death of just one more flunky. And when he suspects that what lies behind the dead man's eyes is watching him too closely. Travelt, the dead man, was playing games outside school - using company equipment for unauthorised purposes - and the man who paid for it isn't happy. He wants McNihil to look into Travelt's last hours, make sure it doesn't happen again and he won't take no for an answer.
