The fourth book in the "Time Quest" series. Each book focuses on a dramatic recent historical event. In words and pictures, the explorer, scientist or archaeologist responsible for the discovery describes his or her achievement and takes the reader back to relive the exciting story behind it. It is published on the eve of the 500th anniversary year of the voyage of Columbus. The author describes his experience of sailing to America in 1989 - just the same way that Columbus and his crew did 500 years before. From the 1989 voyage, the book flashes back to life on board the original Santa Maria.
