Nicki Styx Mystery
4 primary works
Book 1
There's something about almost dying that makes a girl rethink her priorities. Take Nicki Styx-she was strictly goth and vintage, until a brush with the afterlife leaves her with the ability to see dead people. Before you can say boo, Atlanta's ghosts are knocking at Nicki's door. Now her days consist of reluctantly cleaning up messes left by the dearly departed, leading ghouls to the Light ...and one-on-one anatomy lessons with Dr. Joe Bascombe, the dreamy surgeon who saved her life. All this catering to the deceased is a real drag, especially for a girl who'd rather be playing hanky-panky with her hunky new boyfriend ...who's beginning to think she's totally nuts. But things get even more complicated when a friend foolishly sells her soul to the devil, and Nicki's new gift lands her in some deep voodoo. As it turns out for Nicki Styx, death was just the beginning.
Book 2
Nicki Styx is slowly - very slowly - adjusting to her new life as guidance counselor to the dead. Sure, talking to ghosts is weird, but there are stranger things, like finding out the twin sister you didn't know existed is alive and well and after your doctor boyfriend. As if that wasn't enough, the Devil decides to make an appearance. He's hot and tempting, and he's rented the store across the street. He wants Nicki to take a trip to the wild side with him, and she decides it's best to take a trip out of town instead. With Joe along for the ride, Nicki soon learns there's no escaping the devil, especially when he's after your soul.
Book 3
There's nothing wrong with a new music store opening in town - unless the new owner is the Devil himself. He isn't too happy that Nicki Styx, recently able to speak to dead people, won't bend to his will, and so now he's going to make Nicki's life Hell on earth by exposing her secret. Suddenly she's bombarded by good and bad spirits alike, not to mention all the living people who want to get one last shot with their dearly departed. With ghosts descending from all sides, reporters knocking down her door, and her boyfriend Joe trying to take things to the next level, Nicki may finally be in over her head.
Book 4
This is a Christmas Carol, Nicki Styx style, from the award-winning author of "You're the One That I Haunt".
