Volume Three of Women and Work presents a variety of ideas, issues and concepts which have emerged in various countries as a result of the specific conditions there. The contributors address topics such as the effects of national economic underdevelopment on women′s status; the impact of women′s workforces on the restructuring of the US garment and electronics industries; the result of high female work participation in the Soviet Union; the experience of British dual-earner couples; and women′s relationships with men and other women at work.
