A biography of Florence Nightingale. The "Lives and Times" series touches on the Key Stage 1 history requirements in books that not only tell the stories of the lives of famous people, but also provide evidence for each story. Children are encouraged to think about how we know about each individual and the events that made them famous. More generally, they are encouraged to think about how we form impressions of history through evidence or reporting of events.
