DEVELOPING SHAPE, SPACE AND MEASURE focuses on developing children's spatial awareness and their mathematical vocabulary. This series will combine the background information and oral work aspects of DEVELOPING MENTAL MATHS with the problem-solving approach and photocopiable activities of PRACTISING MENTAL MATHS in one comprehensive package. Each book is divided into seven sections each with background support on curriculum coverage, key ideas and common misconceptions; teacher-directed, oral activities and group problem-solving tasks and related photocopiable activities: 2-D and 3-D shape; Position and direction; Angle and Rotation; Transformation and symmetry; Length; Mass ansd capacity; Time. In addition, each book includes two photocopiable glossaries of 'Shape and Space' and 'Measures' words.
