Two saddle mates on the run from a stagecoach robbery try to help a woman save her ranch from the ruthless rustler who wants to drive her out.
Mark Lane and Reg Bachelor, Wyoming ranch hands in the summer, are heading south for the winter. As they move farther south, they come into a Navajo Reservation, where they are hired to trap wild horses in Mexico. They are unaware that they've settled into a place from which gringos have been known to disappear.
