In this book the authors present an efficient Boundary Element Method scheme for the numerical solution of two-dimensional heat transfer problems. Lacking the major computational difficulties of traditional reinitialization and convolution schemes, this is of the reinitialization type, in which the domain integrals are computed by a recursive relation that depends only on the boundary temperature and flux at the previous time-step. The new numerical approach is then used to solve several different heat transfer problems with fixed and moving boundaries and comparisons with previous analytical and numerical solutions are also presented to validate the results obtained.
